Building on the launch of the IDA Sports GRLSFIT boots earlier this year, Adidas has now unveiled the F50 SPARKFUSION. This isn’t just another football boot — it’s made specifically for women, in collaboration with players like Trinity Rodman and Jule Brand, to elevate the women’s game and provide female athletes with the support they truly need. The goal: to finally eliminate the long-standing discomfort caused by boots that ignore the unique anatomical needs of women.
The F50 SPARKFUSION is the result of extensive research and in-depth collaboration with Adidas’ roster of athletes and partners—including Linda Caicedo, Vicky Lopez, Arsenal Women, OL Lyonnes, and many more. It builds on years of existing foot anatomy data from athletes at all levels, from grassroots to professional, making it Adidas’ most comprehensive female foot sizing and anatomy database to date. This also marks the brand’s largest-ever study into the specific boot needs of women in football.

As the elite game continues to accelerate and demand sharper directional changes, it’s crucial to consider the unique anatomical structure of women’s lower limbs. Female feet typically feature a narrower heel, higher arches, and greater mid foot volume compared to their male counterparts. Recognising these differences, Adidas introduces FUSIONLAST—a new innovation designed to deliver a more tailored fit through the heel, mid foot, and forefoot, enhancing lockdown, comfort, and agility.
Key features of the SPARKFUSION are the FUSIONSOLE SOCKLINER, which offers added arch support and the SPRINTFRAME FUSION FG/AG — a new soleplate with semi-conical studs to improve rotational movement. The addition of a PIVOT STUD in the centre of the stud column and a fourth stud on the outer side of the boot helps distribute the pressure more evenly while increasing compatibility with both natural grass and artificial grass surfaces. In comparison to unisex designs, athletes completed agility-centric drills faster in the sparkfusion.
